"Stay inside the lines-"

Hola, the name's Jack. Here are a couple facts about me. I think that music is an art form and black and white are the most vivid colors out there. You can probably catch me running around the school halls trying to get to my next class or extracurricular on time and overall I'm a pretty approachable guy. Oh, and if you want to strike a conversation up with me just bring up film - we'll be friends in no time.

Well I can tell you that the guys aren’t complaining, but otherwise, I can’t help you with the whole female population.

Looks like I’ll be sucking it up or continuously insulting them. The latter sounds a lot more tempting, though.

Well I’m sure you’ll figure out someway to fix your problem. Anyways how have you been?

jack-chambers:

Yeah, I can see how that can become bothersome.

I’m glad you understand. The fact that they all insist on flirting with every male around here is also a supporting factor.

Well I can tell you that the guys aren’t complaining, but otherwise, I can’t help you with the whole female population.

Ah, well, aren’t you a deep one.

I try.

What did the females of Nirvana do this time to piss you off?

They insisted on breathing and existing around me, it’s bothersome.

Yeah, I can see how that can become bothersome.

Emma + Jack || Movie Night

emmavarisco:

Not many guys would have the guts to take Emma out; Her abrasive attitude made them run in the opposite direction. Emma released the curler pressed against her golden-brown hair as she released the negative thoughts from her mind. “Those boys don’t know what they’re missing.” she said to herself in the mirror as she applied a final layer of mascara.

She didn’t know Jack especially well. She knew he was a hard worker and was quite intelligent, seeing as how they actually had classes together. Emma had also seen him at club meetings, and although he never spoke up, it was nice to just seem him there.

Emma brushed her hair over her bare shoulders and decided that it would be smart to bring a cardigan. Dropping the gray cardigan over her blur strapless shirt, she made her way downstairs. She didn’t want to make it seem like she had gotten ready hours before-which she always did before something important-but there was really nothing else she could do.

Josie. In the hours of preparing, she had forgotten about her sister. The redhead came bounding down the stairs with the energy level of a squirrel on the hunt for acorns, and almost ran right into Emma. “Wooooow, Emma,” she said in wonder “You look really nice tonight! Are you going out?” Emma wanted nothing more than to shoo her away, but she wears busy fixing her own hair. She nodded which led Josie to inquire who with. Emma hoped that her simple replies would inform Josie that she didn’t want to be disturbed. However, that was like wishing for a unicorn and actually seeing it appear before your eyes.

Finally, the doorbell rang. Emma left Josie’s side and quickly made her way to the door, grabbing her purse in the way. She opened the door just a crack, in order or keep Josie from seeing who it was and to keep Jack from seeing Josie. Emma smiled at Jack as she quickly closes the door behind her and reached to shake his hand. The quizzical look on the boy’s face let Emma know just how much her embarrassment was showing through. “Sorry,” she said in reply yo his expression “I guess I’m just used to shaking hands.” She attempted to let the whole door situation go and gladly accompanied him down the stairs and to his car.

As the door swung open Jack’s head snapped up and he smiled brightly at her. Emma quickly shut the door behind her and held her hand out like she expected him to shake it. Befuddled, he shot her a confused look and nodded at her explanation. “It’s alright, though I definitely haven’t ever been offered a handshake during a date.” He said teasingly. She blushed and followed him to his car. Opening the door for her, he bowed jokingly with a serious expression, “My lady.” As soon as she got in, he shut the door with a loud slam and got in over on the driver’s side.

Backing out of her driveway, he asked happily, “So any movie preferences? Romantic comedy, horror, you get to pick.” He turned his head to look at her briefly, shooting a smile in her direction. She seemed somewhat nervous, anxious even.

Jack didn’t really know Emma, sure they were in a couple of the same classes but usually they avoided each other. She was diligent, hardworking, and brilliant. Jack had to respect that. It was obvious to him that she was an overachiever, always striving to be the best and often at times succeeding. Wanting to make small talk he asked, “So do you have any siblings? I swear I saw a girl with red hair standing next to you but I could be hallucinating or something. I really hope not though.”
